Çanakkale Kırsal Alan Kültürel Peyzaj Değerleri (Kuzey – Batı Merkez Köyleri)

Abstract

Cultural landscaping resources are formed in the result of shaping the human’s natural environment as a result of social and cultural accumulation.Thus, local customs and traditions are reflected in nature and as a result, the environment gains different characters. If these cultural landscapingvalues are used by way of protection, significant contributions will be made to the development of the country. In this context, Çanakkale province has very rich resources because of its 3000 year history. The main purpose of this study is to determine the cultural landscape values of 15 rural settlements with historical characteristics connected to Çanakkale center. For this purpose, central villagers were investigated on site in their work. At the same time, information was obtained from local people and managers using information forms. Historical-archaeological structures and areas, area uses, folklore, agricultural activities and regional characteristics were determined in the settlements. As a result, the cultural landscapes of the rural settlements are processed on the regional map and the important regions visually determined.
