Abstract

The pressures and tensions created by urban life on society are increasing day by day. In this environment, in order to be able to grow healthy and happy individuals, they must be in contact with nature and be in contact with plants in their daily life. This habit must be earned in childhood in order to be permanent. In this study, it is aimed to give children a more detailed description of nature and tree love. At the same time, this activity was provided with university students who could feel outside of the classroom environment and closer to them. A group of 8 volunteers from the 2nd grade students of the university and a class of 40 students from the 3rd grade students of the primary school were puttogether in the park area by a mutual interaction method. As a result of the study, university students stated that they had learned the usefulness of the information they learned in their education and had experienced a sense of usefulness to the children and loved their profession more. At the same time, it has been determined that elementary school students are happy from making lessons in the nature and by getting to know plants more closely. It has been observed that children interact with a fun activity and take a role model of their college seniors, and the sense of discovery has increased their relevance to nature.
