EVALUATION OF LANDSCAPE ARCHITECTURE STUDENTS' DISTANCE EDUCATION AND TRAINING EXPERIENCES WITH NOMINAL GROUP TECHNIQUE

This research was carried out with the participation of Bursa Uludag University Faculty of Agriculture Department of Landscape Architecture students to determine the efficiency of distance education in the landscape architecture profession during the Covid-19 epidemic, what the priority problems are in distance education, and which issues to work on in what order to continue the learning processes in a qualified manner without interrupting the learning processes. It is designed to. Nominal Group Technique (NGT), one of the process improvement methods, was used in the research. NGT is a problem-solving technique that relies on human opinions and judgment. This technique consists of determining the topic and forming team members, idea generation, interpretation/explanation, voting/scoring, collecting the points given to the ideas, and prioritizing the opinions and evaluations. Within the scope of the study, many ideas were obtained, and similar ones were combined. Despite the combinations, the large number of ideas required reducing them to a manageable number of ideas through a systematic voting technique. Six sets were created with the ideas generated by this requirement. The sets obtained from the study were also presented for scoring. According to the results obtained here, it has been concluded that distance education in landscape architecture has many negative aspects in terms of socio-cultural, psychological/spiritual, learning, and physical aspects. In contrast, it has many positive aspects in terms of economic and exam aspects.
